Cricket Australia: Aunty Fiona

Such a privilege filming with artist Aunty Fiona Clarke in her studio for Cricket Australia.

Aunty Fiona Clarke and collaborator Courtney Hagen created the designs for the Australian Men’s cricket team Indigenous shirt for the T20 series against India to recognise and encourage Indigenous Australian’s role in cricket.

Clarke, a Kirrae Whurrong woman, is a direct descendant of late cricketer ‘Mosquito’ Couzens (known as Grongarrong), one of the Aboriginal players who toured England in 1868 as part of the first sporting team from Australia to play abroad.
